COMPLETE CHILD PSYCHIATRY

Dr Haq takes pride in providing evidence based treatment

About dr Shaikh Imtiaz ul Haq

One in ten children experience mental health difficulties which have a strong bearing on the life of the young person and their family.  At Complete Child Psychiatry, we have over two decades of experience working collaboratively with these children, their families, and other healthcare professionals to assist assessment and intervention to provide the best possible outcome for the service users.

Dr Haq acquired his Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1984 and then went on to receive his membership in Psychiatry from the College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1988. Following his early work in Adult Psychiatry, Dr Haq acquired his initial training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the prestigious Institute of Psychiatry London, the Maudsley Hospital and the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, London. His later training in the same speciality was at the Northern Deanery, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Dr Haq has practised as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at the Cumbria Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust- one of the largest mental health trusts in England, since 2006. Dr Haq is actively involved in teaching and training postgraduate medics.

Dr Haq holds the privilege to practice at the Nuffield Health, Newcastle upon Tyne Hospital and Gosforth Private Clinic, Newcastle Upon Tyne.
